FAQ

Q: Should I repair or replace my gutters?
A: Re-attaching, re-pitching or resealing can often repair existing gutters. However, once gutters show signs of rusting through, the only long term solution is to replace them.

Q: What is the primary purpose of gutters?
A: Gutters and downspout system prevent rain from pouring down the sides of your house or business. Pooling water that collects around foundation can cause structural damage over time.

Q: How do gutters get clogged?
A: Debris such as roof asphalt, dirt and sand combined with leaves, acorns, pine cones, seedlings and branches may accumulate in gutters obstructing water drainage. This material combines to form a formidable block in gutters and down spouts.

Q: What happens as a result of gutter clogging?
A: Clogged gutters will wash over water and drip down the sides of the house causing siding damage, discoloration, staining, windows and door damage over time.

Q: How often should gutters be cleaned and maintenanced?
A: This depends on where you live. You should have your gutters cleaned and check at least once a year. If you are surrounded by trees, you may want to clean out your gutters twice a year.

Q: What is so different about Seamless Gutters? Why are they better?
A: Seamless gutters won't leak at seams because there are none; sections join only at inside and outside corners and at downspout outlets.

Q: How much does a new gutter system cost?
A: The cost of a new gutter system will vary depending on the type of gutter material used – aluminum, steel, or copper, total linear footage, the amount and length of down spouts, number of mitered corners and whether or not the fascia boards, which the gutters attach to, need to be replaced or not. The degree of difficulty is also factored in depending on the type installation performed.
